Orzo (also known as Risoni) is a small, dried pasta shaped like rice grains. According to the Italians, the grains look like BARLEY. For this reason, the product is called Orzo, which means BARLEY in Italian. In Sicily, the birthplace of Orzo, people use this pasta primarily as an addition to soups. But there are many other ways to prepare it, for example with tomato sauce or pesto, also as pilaf with grilled vegetables. It is perfect for a quick risotto, called orzotto.HOW TO PREPARE
