HOW TO PREPARE
- At home, sprouts are prepared as follows: We take a flat plate, line it with gauze or other water-absorbing material. We pour a single layer of seeds on the gauze and water it with water, preferably boiled and lukewarm. Water should be topped up so that the gauze is wet all the time. We place the seeds in a warm and preferably dark place.
- Depending on the species of germinated plant, sprouts appear after 2-4 days.
- For coarse seeds, e.g. peas, soybeans, chickpeas, etc. or seeds with shells, e.g. pumpkin, sunflower, sprouts are cut before consumption, and small seeds are used whole.
